Suitable for the following
- Sieved/ fenestrated tracheostomy tubes. Tracheostomy tubes with completely unblocked. cuff and tracheostomy tubes without cuff
(IMPORTANT: An adequate airflow around the
tracheostomy tube must be ensured!)
- The filter cartridge contained in the scope of
delivery can be optionally connected to the
PRIMEDI-PHON PLUS® speaking valve for filtering inspiration air (also available separately)
How does it work?
- A special feature of this speaking valve is the closed basic position of the silicone membrane
- The membrane only opens briefly during inspiration and reacts to even very weak inhalation
- Afterwards it automatically returns to the
tightly sealed basic position without exhalation
pressure (expiration pressure) being required
(an extremely short shutting time);
phonation therefore does not require any build up of expiration pressure
